The flexor digiti minimi brevis foot muscle is located at the outermost edge of the bones of the feet. The flexor digiti minimi brevis of the foot is one of the muscles that comprise the third layer of the sole of the foot, the fourth layer being the deepest.

Origin: The flexor digiti minimi brevis originates from the base of the fifth metatarsal.

Insertion: It inserts to the base of the proximal phalanx of the fifth digit.

Function: Flexes the proximal phalanx of the fifth digit.

Nerve Supply: The superficial branch of lateral plantar nerve.
